This 19th-century Regency en tremblant tiara comes alive with delicately sprung floral sprays, set with paste stones that dance with every step. A beautiful example of Regency craftsmanship and botanical fantasy.

Crafted in gilt metal, the openwork design is formed as a garland of flowering sprays, delicately intertwined with leaves and scrolling stems. The floral motifs are set throughout with pale blue paste stones, their soft, luminous hue lending the piece an airy brilliance.

At the center, a starburst flower rises prominently, its petals articulated en tremblant—mounted on fine, concealed springs that allow the elements to quiver subtly with the wearer’s movement, creating a shimmering, lifelike effect. Smaller blossoms and foliate details echo this animation across the crest, enhancing the sense of lightness and motion.

The tiara is completed with a fitted circlet base, also accented with a continuous row of paste stones, ensuring a cohesive sparkle from every angle. Both romantic and theatrical, this jewel reflects the 19th century’s fascination with botanical realism and technical ingenuity, making it a captivating survivor of the period’s grand evening adornments.

Good condition, with very few losses. Some rubbing to the gilt.
