The circular top rests above an exceptionally detailed apron, featuring pierced geometric motifs characteristic of Viardot’s Japonisme style. The table is supported by three boldly sculpted elephant-form legs, each rendered with remarkable anatomical precision. The trunks extend gracefully downward to form the feet, culminating in a shaped stretcher decorated with intricate foliate scrollwork.
Good condition with some age related marks, the marble top has a feint circular water mark.
