A decorative vintage cabinet with a hand-painted trompe l’œil architectural façade, designed to imitate panelled doors and classical detailing. The slightly naive execution only adds to its charm and character.
Though sometimes compared to Regency painted examples, this piece is later in date and should be appreciated on its own merits. Similar examples have been described as “in the style of John Dickinson”, though no firm maker can be confidently attributed.
